Kamikaze Kanoers 2015
The Kamikaze Kanoers have represented Rockland County in the Governor Clinton Canoe Regatta for over 35 years. Any registered Girl Scout in 7th grade and above (up to 18 years of age by race day is welcome to become a member of the Kamikaze Kanoers. Parental help is needed and enthusiastically welcomed to assist with carpooling and organizing practices and trips.

One river training trip is planned in May. All interested girls must attend the mandatory orientation meeting, and must bring a parent with them. Practices begin last Monday in March and are held at Camp Addisone Boyce (Rockland County) from 4 - 6:30 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through April and May.

Mandatory Orientation Meeting:

Wednesday, March 18th, 2015, 7-9 PM.  Location: Felix Festa Middle School.  Again, a parent must accompany each girl.  Registration Packet Parts A&B are available online. The forms will also available at the meeting.

The uniform is a white hooded zippered sweatshirt, T-shirt, red shorts and red long pants.

Cost: Troop Dues $35. (Cash or checks to “Kamikaze”)
$15 Girl Scout membership fee, if not already registered (Separate Check to “GSHH”).

Other costs include:

  1. river training trip($25-$30),

  2. camping and meal fees for the Race Weekend ($20),  and

  3. Race registration fee ($12) covered by your Program fee.


All monies can be paid by check made out to “Kamikaze”
