The TZ Community is my local Girl Scout area volunteers.  It was called a “Service Unit” when I first got involved when Emily joined in 1994.  I became the “Camping Consultant” and tried to encourage outdoor program and camping.  I joined the Girl Scout Council of Rockland County Staff for several years as their Camp and Outdoor Education Manager.  My job was basically to help troops up to Camp Addisone Boyce and to use the facility.  My part time job was eliminated in 2007 when GSCRC merged with other Hudson Valley councils to become Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson.  When that happened, I decided to pull back to my local area troops and to use my talents to service the 400 girls in my TZ (Tappan Zee) Community.  Now I am Camping Consultant as well as the TZ Website & Email Manager.
