Winter Whirl Survival

Ideas gathered from Bergen County Girl Scouts, the Winter Whirl Survival series has been challenging girls since 1988. From learning how to dress, to hypothermia, twiggy fires, debris shelters, winter first aid, and an ice rescue demonstration from the Stony Point Fire and Rescue Squad, the girls learn to appreciate and enjoy the cold weather and are prepared for winter emergencies.
